Where the word of God is sought and taught

1) We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God, and inerrant in the original writing, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.  II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:21,

Jeremiah 1:9, Psalm 199:89

2) We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 48:16,

II Corinthians 13:14.

3) We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.  Luke 1:35, Matthew 1:18

4) We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and not only incurred physical death but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who have reached moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word, and deed.  Romans 3: 19 & 23, Romans 5:12, Ephesians 2:1-3,12

5) We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. Romans 4:25, Romans 5:16 & 18, Ephesians 1:7, I Peter 1:3-5.

6) We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there as our High Priest and Advocate.  Acts 2:32-36, I Timothy 2:5, John 2:11.

7) We believe in that "blessed hope", the personal pre-tribulational premillennial, and bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Acts 1:11, I Thessalonians 4:16,17, II Thessalonians 2, Titus 2:13.

8) We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become the children of God.  Ephesians 2:8 & 9.

9) We believe that every born again person has been baptized by the Spirit into the body of Christ and therefore has the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.  I Corinthians 12:13.

10) We believe that every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ still has an old sinful nature which wars against the soul.  Romans 7:15 & 25.

11) We believe in the eternal security of all born again souls.  John 10:28,29, Romans 8:35-39, I Corinthians 1:4-8

12) We believe that all the saved are called into a life of separation from all worldly and sinful practices.  James 4:4, Romans 12:1 & 2, II Corinthians 6:14, II Corinthians 7:1.

13) We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just, and the unjust, the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.  John 5:19, 28, John 11:25,26, Revelation 20:5,6,12,13.

14) We believe the communion of the Lord's Supper as revealed in I Corinthians 11:23-26 is for members of the body

                                               of Christ to observe as remembrance "until he comes".
